Mornmoot
has been a premier Victorian stud at the forefront of the
Australian racing industry for over 100 years. It boasts
400 acres of historic land combining heritage listed buildings
with rolling paddocks that have been home to numerous champion
horses.
Mornmoot
was home to ‘Century’ – one of only three
Australian champion sires in the past 40 years, along with
Group winning stallions Better Boy and Showdown.
Robert
and Roshni Thompson purchased this wonderful piece of history
seven years ago. In this short period of time they have worked
to restore Mornmoot to its former glory. They have a vision
for Mornmoot to become the leading stallion station to take
Victorian breeding into the future. Currently, they boast
four stallions of the highest pedigree – Formalhaut,
Happy Giggle El Cumbres and Viking Ruler.
